Abstract
The magnetic circuit for high current measurement included in a differential transformer consists of a flat prismatic magnetic block or stack of thin laminations electrically insulated from each other. Each lamination has two cut-in elongated windows so that the stack has two holes which penetrate the block or stack in the direction of its smallest thickness. The primary current conductors, are accepted by the holes and the secondary conductor passing also through the holes forms a loop around the inner core of the magnetic circuit. The cross-section of the holes is matched to the cross-section of the penetrating wires.
