Abstract

The knife (1) mounting has bevelled edges, and is particularly for a machine producing wood chips. The bevel (13) of each tooth extends beyond the thickness of the mounting for a distance such that the thickness of the bevel in front of the corresponding mounting face is at least equal to the thickness of the knife. The mounting can be in two separate portions joined together, one carrying the bevelled teeth and the other forming a knife clamp and support plate. Each bevel can form in the mounting in the supporting drum a continuation of the drum curve.
