Abstract

Pressure resistant electro-acoustic transducer has a fluid in a chamber which compensates for outer existing applied pressure. The device has the compensation fluid (7) operating in conjunction with the upper inner surface of the housing. The compensating fluid has a predetermined velocity of sound propagation which is less than that of the vibrating material (4). The housing surface dimensions for the profile in contact with the fluid are such that the forced vibrations are minimal in regard to entry zone sound intensity for a given excitation frequency. The vibrator may be made of a ceramic material (4) with the housing (1) consisting of a horn filled with the fluid (7).
