Abstract

High-protein feedstuffs are produced from starch- and protein-contg. raw materials (e.g. wheat, barley, rye, potatoes etc.) by subjecting the raw materials to grinding, subjecting to a starch hydrolysis with simultaneous addition of water, subjecting the resulting mixture to yeast fermentation in a known manner, and drying the product. High-protein animal feed is produced at a favourable cost from readily available raw materials.
