Abstract

The pneumatic conveyor device is for grain or powdered material. The material is contained in a hopper (6) at the base of which is a rotor (17), turning on a shaft (4). The rotor is moved in discrete steps by a pneumatic piston cylinder unit and ratchet system (7, 8, 9) between the periphery of the rotor (2) in which a measured quantity of the substance is delivered to a position between an outlet tube and a source of compressed air. The material is removed and conveyed along the tube as a plug propelled by a pulse of air pressure.
