Abstract

A photo-chemical method of increasing the efficiency of combustion processes and reducing the pollution caused by the waste gases consists of using ultraviolet lamps to increase the ozone content of the atmospheric air use for combustion. The increase in ozone content is not sufficient to be dangerous. The method permits a reduction in the consumption of atmospheric oxygen and offers a means of overcoming atmospheric pollution.
