Abstract

A piezo electric assembly (P) has a pair of piezo electric elements (1, 1') mounted on top of ach other and separated by a terminal plate (2) so as to form a parallel electric circuit. At the two ends of the piezo electric elements (1, 1') are respectively fixed a metallic pressure receiving the (3) and a metallic pressure application plate (4). The elements (1, 1') are lodged in an insulating housing (5) made of plastic material. A pair of metallic chassis (6, 6') is arranged on either side of the piezo electric elements. A lever (13) is actuated to compress the elements within the metal chassis. An edge of the lower surface of the pressure plate is aligned with the assembly axis and the plate turns about its diagonally opposite axis.
