Abstract

Water treatment installation where water flows through a tank connected as cathode in a circuit having a sacrificial anode immersed in the water to provide corrosion resistance, particularly for domestic hot and cold water systems, and also for treating dispersed waste products in food factory effluents. Basically, a permanent anode is used in parallel with the sacrificial anode to produce oxygenation of the water to combat growth of anaerobic bacteria and to prevent unpleasant smells.
