Abstract

The meal distribution trolley has separate refrigeration (1) and heating or cooking (2) compartments and permits the cooking and cold storage of dishes, thus maintaining hygiene and obviating bacterial formation, the dishes being heated as required at the time of consumption. Both operations are carried out within the one trolley and without transferring the edibles from their dishes. The trolley comprises a wheeled cupboard which is divided into insulated cooking and storage areas, and contains a framework, of two vertical rows of shelves, longitudinally slideable within the cupboard. The cool compartment (1) has an evaporator and a compressor the heating compartment micro-contacts and an automatic time switch.
