Abstract

The device comprises a pump (1) with an inlet (2) from a storage container (10), and an outlet (3) to the delivery tube. The pump is driven by an electric motor (9) with pulleys (4, 7) and drive belt (8). A notched disc (5, 6) is mounted on the end of the pump shaft, and there is a device (11) to count the notches passing. A controller (12) is used to set the required number of notches, and to cut off the electrical supply to the motor when the required number is reached. A rapid stop device is fitted to the motor. The pump is of the vane pump type, with either flexible or sliding vanes.
