Abstract

The coating is applied to the surfaces of the items by vaporising solutions in suspension in two chambers (1, 2), one behind the other along the conveyor. One of these is turned through 180 deg. in relation to the other, and each contains centrifugal disc-type vapourisers (5, 6, 7). One of the discs in each chamber (5) is mounted rigidly to one side of the conveyor axis (3) with its jet directed perpendicularly towards the latter, while the two others (6, 7) are at the other side with their jets at an acute angle to this axis. They are so arranged that the jets from all three do not intersect. The system is particularly for the application of glazing to washbasins.
