Abstract

The screwdriver has a stem (1) with a diametrical groove in it at one end, and a replaceable blade (2), preferably with a lengthwise groove (7) forming it into two tongues (5, 6) whose tips engage in the screw slot, and also a widened rear end (8). The latter fits in the groove in the stem and also in lengthwise grooves in a locking sleeve (3) pressed onto the stem. The tongues can be elastic and offset in relation to each other, so that they grip against opposite sides of the screw slot and hold it, the tips being chamfered. They can be arranged to extend from the locking sleeve only far enough to engage fully in the screw slot. The stem can also have a peripheral groove, with which a mating protrusion inside the sleeve snaps into engagement.
