Abstract

A tandem master cylinder (1) is controlled by a brake pedal (2) to give to independent pressures to the rear (5) and front (6) brakes via pipes (7) (8) and outlets (9) (10) on the master cylinder. In the rear brake pipe (8) is a brake pressure limiting valve (V). A cylinder (11) in the master cylinder body (12) joins to an auxiliary cylinder (13) via radial passages (14) (15) in the outlets (9) (10). There are primary and secondary pistons (16) (17) and a spring (20) and connections (22) (23) with the fluid reservoir (24). A switch (29) is screwed in the body (12) with a contact rod (30) and a moving element (28) and stopper (36) acting on an orifice (31). Unbalance is indicated by a lamp (33).
