Abstract

A tray made from a material permeable to water contains the ground coffee. A square dish with sides diverging outwards from the bottom is made from a material impermeable to hot water and has an aperture in its base covered by a permeable material. The filled tray is sealed underneath this base. The sides of the dish fold down to give a flat package, the whole being sealed in an impermeable wrapper. Hot water poured into the dish infuses coffee into a cup beneath.
