Abstract
Pharmaceutical compsn. contains, as active ingredients, an ergot alkaloid (I) having central dopaminergic stimulating activity and a phosphodiesterase inhibitor (II). (I) is e.g., a lysergic acid deriv. such as ergocornine and (II) e.g., a methylxanthine deriv. such as caffeine. (I) and/or (II) may be used as their acid addn. salts. Compsn. is used esp. for treating Parkinson's disease; addn. of (II) potentiates and/or prolongs the activity of (I).
