Abstract

Eye examination apparatus comprises a microscope mounted on a kinematic stand, and a keratometer unit directly or indirectly attached to it permanently, and a slit lamp directly or indirectly attached to the microscope. The slit lamp and microscope are relatively rotatable about a pivot axis and form a single, independently usable unit, either on or off the stand. Supporting arms bear the lamp and microscope and are pivotally attached to a bush by adjuster screws. A slit assembly includes a plate which pivots about a bolt that is offset from the axis of the lamp.
