Abstract

The method for regenerating or correcting the deformation of pulse rise and fall shapes, particularly in the field of telephone network automatic switching where such deformation may be considerable and where signal levels may vary by several dBs. The technique employs a Schmitt trigger circuit fed from a memory block. This block is fed from two parallel networks connected to the pulse input circuitry. The first network has a linear transfer characteristic providing a delayed trigger to the Schmitt circuit. The second network provides a correction using the trailing slope of the input pulse.
