Abstract

The system is for handling dry or wet solids accommodated in large tanks. The system comprises at least one supply bridge for delivery of material to the tank and at least one discharge bridge for removal of material. The discharge bridge(s) are movable under the supply bridge(s). Preferably, a dredging trolley including a bucket chain is movable to and fro on the discharge bridge. Means may be inclined to allow the trolley to be taken off the discharge bridge when the discharge bridge is being moved under the supply bridge. The trolley may be received on a turntable when it is removed from the discharge bridge.
