Abstract

The shuttering system consists of a light weight concrete panel (2) on the outer surface and a plasterboard panel (4) on the inner surface. These are linked by a steel plate reinforcement (8) with steel hooks (10) which clamp round steel rods (12), to which are also connected tie-bars (14) forming part of an H-section support (16) for the plaster-board. The space between the two may subsequently be filled by a wet cement. The layer thickness are typically 6 cm, 20 cm, and 2.5 cm with densities of 1300, 1200 and 800 kg/cu. m. for the outer, middle and inner (plaster) layers respectively. The construction gives good thermal insulation in all climatic regions.
