Abstract
The electromechanical passband filter, for e.g. telecommunications, consists of two parallel rectangular metal slabs (3, 31) capable of supporting flexural vibrations. The piezoelectric transducers (4, 41) are mounted on top of the metal slabs. The two slabs are joined by two parallel metal rods (5, 6) that act as torsion vibrators. The rods are located towards the ends of the metal slabs. To improve the filter's cut-off characteristics, a coupling capacitor is connected between the contact electrodes attached to the piezoelectric transducers so that the piezoelectric plates have opposite polarities. The piezoelectric transducers are rectangular and do not occupy the whole of the metal slabs.
