Abstract

The caravan consists of a normal type chassis (1) mounted on a transverse axle and wheels (2). The chassis is rectangular, with its upper face open. There are horizontal edges (1a), (ub), (1c), (1d) around the top of the rectangle. Around these are rigid panels (3), (4), (5) on hinges (7). The panels can move from horizontal to near vertical positions. There are projections and slide ways associated with the panels to assist in opening and closing. There are jacks (25), (26), which help in these sections, which are pivoted also. The roof has a flexible seal around its lower perimeter for weather proofing in the housed and erected positions. The upper edges of the end walls have cylindrical projections acting as guide rollers running in tracks on the roof.
