Abstract
A device for obtaining useful work from the wind, has an aerodynamic collector arrangement consisting of a tube (1) or set of tubes with internal, sloping lead-in surfaces (3) terminating in a restricted throat at which point is located a turbine or turbo motor (5), after which the discharge region is formed by further curved surfaces (7) which enlarge rapidly so that there is minimum resistance to the discharge of air. This discharge is assisted by flared outside surfaces (10) which join the discharge surfaces to form pointed tips.
