Abstract

Pumping station pre-fabricated equipment is intended for evacuating waste water and sewage from a group of new buildings constructed at a lower level than those existing and forms a means of connecting the new buildings to the main sewer. A reinforced concrete tank is placed in an excavation on the site and the waste matls. collect in the lower portion via a pipe. The top of the tank is covered by a circular cover. This cover and two electric pumps form a prefabricated assembly which is mounted as a unit on the top of the tank. The pump outlets are fixed to isolating valves attached to a horizontal manifold which has a quick-action connector to the outlet pipe. Level detectors control the upper and lower limits for te water in the tank. A lifting job is provided for raising and replacing any heavy components through a manhole. The electric cables enter and pass to the control panel. The equipment, of limited size and wt., can be stored in the ready-for-use condition and then rapidly mounted on a prepd. tank. If one pump should break down, the other will keep the station in operation.
