Abstract

Container for powdered material, for example salt, is opened by rotating the top cover to align perforations in two layers. The container wall has a ledge formed in it near the top by folding or crossing, and the lid consists of two layers which are laid on this ledge. they are retained in laced by rolling over the top edge of the wall (1a). the top layer (5) has a raised ridge (8) in the centre which is used to rotate it. The top layer has one hole in it, and the lower layer has a single hole (6) and a group of small holes (7) to give rapid or retarded flow of salt.
