Abstract

The container is of synthetic material, internally clad with absorbent material, being particularly for the storage of munitions underground. The cladding can be cardboard or flocculent material, or open-cell foam. It can be deposited by foam application, after which the container is rotated and the internal skin removed as necessary. The container is both resistant to ingress of water and capable of absorbing water vapour condensed on the internal walls of the container. The use of an internal cladding, layer allows lightweight and comparatively cheap containers to be produced.
