Abstract

The tool holder base carries a pivot and houses an annular piston with teeth which engage with similar teeth of a fixed piston. The piston carries the rotary motor body which is provided with a top cover and a switch housing. The central pivot has splines which match the splines of the pivot pin. When pressure is admitted at the inlet it pushes the piston downwards disengaging the teeth, but engages the splines. At the same time th valve is opened admitting pressure into the cylinder where is acts on the rotary piston turning the tool holder through 180 deg.
