Abstract

The alarm is connected to detectors (10') and to actuators (10) so as to be energised to provide a warning signal when the detectors (10') or actuators (10) are released. A control clock (205), is used to set the required period of operation of the surveillance alarm, and to define certain access periods, with an access button (24) located within the area under surveillance. The alarm signals from the detectors (10') are applied directly to the alarm when the control clock (205) is in the operative period. The alarm signals from the actuators (10) are applied to the alarm via a delay circuit (32) when the control clock (205) is in the inoperative period, and the detector alarm signals are applied to the alarm via the delay circuit (32) when the control clock (205) is in the access period and the access button (24) is operated.
