Abstract
Catalysts with an alumina carrier and 0-30 wt % silica, and active hydrogenating components, have controlled pore size such that the volume (V) of pores with 0-300 angstroms radius is >0.30 ml/g. the vol. of pores with 0-30 angstroms radius is 25% of (V), the vol. of pores with 75-300 angstroms radius is 40% of (V), and the vol. of pores with 75-75000 angstroms radius is 0.25 ml/g. Catalysts are for hydrocracking of condensed ring cpdS. in heavy oils and removal of sulphur and nitrogen cpds. Activity, selectivity and mechanical strength of the catalysts is improved.
