Abstract

Hand grinding tool with a block or plate, on at least one of whose surfaces are grinding grains where the block or plate is of elastically deformable matl., esp. from interconnected part pieces of a cellular matl. such as an aerated plastic. The grinding grains are fixed to one or more faces of the block or plate by means of a deformable adhesive. Specif., the block matl. can be polyurethane and the adhesive contains rubber matl. The block is of rectangular box section, with typical dimensions of 11 X 7 X 3.5 cm., of a matl. with density in the range 10-12 lb./cu.ft. whilst the abrasive matl. can be an aluminium oxide.
