Abstract

Communal distribution of television or radio programmes from a single antenna replaces individual cables by one cable carrying all programmes transmitted through the cable from a point close to the antenna, each program having its own frequency. The frequency range specified is between 110 MHz and 140 MHz. All the signal bands are coupled into the distribution circuit via a filter and/or amplifier. Converter, selection and mixing circuits are lcoated close to or are part of the individual receivers. Tariff and control signals are also included in the transmissions.
