Abstract

The registration plate comprises a plate made up of a transparent sheet (10) on which is pressed a light reflecting sheet. One or several characters, such as registration numbers are engraved on the side facing the transparent sheet and are filled with opaque material, and the characters are visible through the transparent sheet over all the surface which is visible through it. The character or each character is engraved on the face of the transparent sheet on which the reflecting material is applied. The various layers of the plates are rolled together. The outside surface of the plate is smooth, the figures and the reflecting layers being visible through the transparent layers.
