Abstract
Hydrocarbon conversion catalysts comprise (a) 100 pts. wt. of a support; (b) 0.005-1 (pref. 0.05-0.8) pt. wt. Pt; (c) 0.005-1 (pref. 0.01-1) pt. wt. Ru; and (d) 0.005-5 (pref. 0.05-3) pt. wt. of Mn or Re; and pref. also (e) 0.1-10 (esp. 0.2-5) pt. wt. halogen. The catalysts are esp. useful for reforming, but can also be used for isomerisation, hydrocracking, dehydrogenation, etc. Component (d) increases the activity and particularly the life of the catalyst.
