Abstract
A vice with predetermined displacements for use in machines with an automatic cycle particularly presses for vulcanising tyres has a stem which moves with respect to the body by a motorised means which are controlled by a photodetecting device which senses marks on the stem, these marks pref. being deposits of a hard plastics matl. such as an epoxy resin. This system is very simple, partic. where the no. of displacements is large.
