Abstract
The supply circuit, for heating-elements with thermostats or regulators, has the a.c. supply (2) passing over the heating element (1), a transformer's primary (4a) and a triac cut-out switch (5) to the second a.c. input terminal (3). The transformer secondary output is rectified by a diode (11), smoothed by a capacitor (8) and a voltage-limiting zener diode (9) and passed to the thermostat circuitry (10) which controls the triac switch. The junction between primary winding and triac is coupled over a resistor and diode (6) to the output of the transformer rectified.
