Abstract

The roof is made up of sheets of pressed metal (1 & 2) the folds of which permit the escape of hot air generated by the manufacturing process being carried out in the factory below. The roofing sheets are fixed to a supporting beam (3). A further metal sheet is laid over the gap between two sheets. This overlaying sheet (4) is of different shape from the others and it is the main means of ventilating the factory. The design of all the sheets allows for hot air to be dissipated without allowing the ingress of water.
