Abstract

Only one piece of wire is used to form this pipe clamp, the other components of which are a nut and a washer. One end of the wire is threaded to take the nut, the wire passes around the pipe to be clamped for at least three-quarters of a turn and the remaining end is formed into a hook around the threaed portion. With the clamp assembled on the pipe, the threaded end is passed through a hole in the support structure and secured by the nut and washer. Wire of any cross sectional shape may be used.
