Abstract

The device consists of a jaw like member which is placed around the edge of an I - beam flange for example. The jaw has an upper guide channel which recieves an extension on a second jaw placed around the other edge of the flange, the jaws being locked together by a cooperating tooth in the guide channel and hole on the jaw projection. A threaded shaft is then passed through a threaded guide on the first and bears on the upper surface of the flange. By suitable adjustment of the shaft the position of the device, and e.g. roofing with respect to the beam may be adjusted.
