Abstract

The high speed printer has a number of type keys operated by a memory control unit. A number (N) of keys is responsive to a simultaneous line compression signal for (R) coincidences using a sub-cycle (M) with M = N/k. Electronic circuitry includes a memory for the printed characters, a second memory for the linear sequence, a comparator, a register and a matrix control unit. The type is carried by an endless belt formed into two parallel equal half-length segments symmetrically arranged.
