Abstract

The assembly is for front drive cars with transverse mounted engines and is used in conjunction with chassis members and similar substantial members above the engine. These latter support both the suspension detail ends and the engine, the engine body itself adding to the transverse strength of the vehicle body. Both engine and suspension fixing elements include flexible fittings. An anti-roll rod is fitted between the engine and the top support member. Normal application uses two members above and one below the engine.
