Abstract

Industrial instruments can be based on a positive "YES/NO" response of an electronic relay assembly actuated by a series of electric pulses which are delivered by a transducer detecting radiation from a radio-active isotope. The relay assembly comprises a comparator circuit which assesses the relationship between detected signal and standard, limiting signals from a feedback frequency generator. The system is highly stable over a very wide range of detected signal strengths and response is ten times faster than analogue response relays.
