Abstract

For units where the yarn is carried through a tube in an air stream, travelling at speeds >6000-7000 m/min, the sliding block carrying the cutting blade is moved across the axis of the tube so that a partial blockage is created. The air stream forces the yarn against the cutting blade which results in the yarn being severed.
