Abstract

Low mol. wt. acrylic (co)polymers are prepd. by adding to an aq. soln. of comonomers of pH >=8 (as in parent patent) an initiator which completes and promotes the action of the photopolymsn.initiator. This second initiator is azobisisobutyronitrile or a persulphatebisulphite redox system the action of which is reinforced by adding a chain regulating agent. The amt. of second initiator is 0.01-5 wt.% based on (co)monomers
