Abstract

A corrugated plastic pipe is covered with a braided sheath of synthetic or other fibres. The plastic pipe may be of PTFE. The sheath may be woven from glass or synthetic textile fibres, and is pref. coated with an elastomer e.g. of neoprene, Hypalon (RTM), Viton (RTM) or silicone rubber. Application is to hydraulic or pneumatic connections undergoing strong curvature without deformation.
