Abstract

The product, which contains >=1 medicament and an effervescent mix of an alkali metal bicarbonate and an aliphatic polycarboxylic acid is prepd. by (1) dampening the effervescent mixt. opt. contng. the medicament with 1 wt.% (w.r.t. the bicarbonate) water (2) pre-drying the damp mixt. in a fluidised bed with warm air (contng. is not 5 g./m.3 water) at 60 degrees F. and (3) finally drying the granulated mixt. at under (2). The process prevents chemical reaction and loss of CO2 during granulation.
