Abstract

Labels, panels or pictures or similar faces with signs or decorations are produced by (a) forming a first sheet with a support coated on at least one side with a layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive, (b) forming a second transfer sheet with a support carrying a transferable skin, (c) combining the two sheets so that the adhesive layer and the transfer able skin are directed towards each other, (d) applying to the combination a predefined decoration under a definite pressure, (e) cutting a corresponding decoration in the transferable skin, (f) transferring the cut out decoration onto the adhesive layer so that it becomes bonded, and (g) separating the two original sheets from each other, and (h) opt. coating the sheet carrying the decoration with a protective skin. Pref. the adhesive is of polyurethane, silicone, cross linkable acrylic resin, polyvinyl ether, or a rubber.
