Abstract

Process comprises a) leaching of ore with H2SO4 and neutralisation of the soln; b) pptn. of Ni(OH2) by means of a precipitating agent followed by filtration; c) redissolving of the ppte in a slight excess of H2SO4 followed by elimination of the residue; d) purification of the acid soln. by liquid-liquid extraction with an organic phase containing di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid and washing out of the organic phase; e) purification of the soln. by liquid-liquid extraction using an organic phase contg. thicyanogen and washing out of the organic phase with recovery of Co; f) electrolysis of the soln.
