Abstract

Illuminating unit, esp. for an optical dervice for the observation of the interior of a bubble chamber, comprises a series of single fibre light tubes with one end in contact with a high energy light source and the other ends uniformly distributed round the axis of an optical assembly, and an aspherical diverging lens situated in front of a port hole in the enclosure to direct the light coming from the single fibre light tubes.
