Abstract

Cycloalkanes are reacted with NO mixed with halogens or nitrosyl halides and hydrohalide acids in the presence of certain catalysts e.g. ammonium or alkyl ammonium bisulphates or pyronsulphates and alkali metal bisulphates or pyrosulphates, pure or mixed in the molten state at 150-650 degrees c, pref. 200-450 degrees C for contact times between 0.05-10 sec. pref. 0.1-5 sec.
