Abstract

High molecular alkali organometallic cpds. (A) are reacted with N-alkyl lactams (B). Cpds. (A) are polymers derived from conjugated dienes and vinylaromatic cpds. that have been obtained with the aid of anionic a alkali organometallic catalysts, the alkali metal having been incorporated into the polymer chain. Cpds. (B) have formula Incorporation of the sec. amino gps. into the polymer is advantageous since it renders the polymer suitable for further reactions e.g. to grafting onto other polymers.
