Abstract

Gaseous acetone, formaldehyde and ammonia esp. 2:9.5-2:1.5 are reached pref. at 350-550 degrees C over an alumino -silicate catalyst (esp. 5-30% alumina) which may also contain 0.5-30% metal oxide or salt. This is a cheaper method of producing 2,6-lutidine than previously.
